Reply from SLID'UP on 04/10/2022 I am sorry about your disapointment Tim but having soft-closers should not change your track length. As mentionned on the installation guide, you need to place the plates and rollers at around 6" from the side of the door vs 2" without soft-closers. SLID'UP Team
Great feature to have for any sliding door. Ensures closure each time with no bounce back that is commonly had with sliding doors.

These rails are mounted using flat head countersunk screws. The predrilled holes in the rails are not countersunk which leaves the head of the screws protruding into the roller assembly travel space. This, in turn, blocks all travel of the roller assembly when the soft-close accessory is mounted to it, making the soft-closer unusable. Wasted $40.00.

Reply from SLID'UP on 25/01/2022 Thank you for your feedback Michael. This is the first time we have this type of feedback. We do not provide screws for the track fixing because the type of surface depends on each customers. The screws included in the kit are for the plates, not for the track. Our SLID’UP 170 track is manufactured with a small groove the leave space for the rollers and soft-closers. On page 2 of the soft-closer installation guide, you can find information about what to do with the screws that will be above the soft-close. Do not hesitate to contact our customer service at contact.us@slidup.com or +1 (866) 626-8466 if you need further information. SLID’UP Team.
I used 4, one on in each end of a 2 tracks, for bypass barn doors. They work great and perform consistently. They are a little snug, so I had to countersink the track in order to insert the soft close mechanism past the screws.
