I can not install the soft-closer SU2218 inside the track.

Verify that there is no fixing screw above the soft-closer.

How many soft-closers do I need?

If you want a soft opening OR a soft closing, you need 1 soft-closer.
If you want a soft opening AND a soft closing, you need 2 soft-closers.

Do I need a longer track if I am using two soft-closers?

No, you do not need a longer track.

Is there a minimum door width to install 1 or 2 soft-closers?

Yes.
For 1 soft-closer, the minimum door width is 26”.
For 2 soft-closers, the minimum door width is 35”.

Can I install a soft-closer after setting up the sliding system?

The soft-closer must be mounted at the same time than the sliding system.

If I have a synchronization kit for 2 doors, how many soft-closers can I install?

If you want a soft opening OR a soft closing, you need 1 soft-closer.
If you want a soft opening AND a soft closing, you need 2 soft-closers.

This works very well and is quite slick. It does cause a bit of resistance as you open the door for the first few inches but the soft close when closing the door is quite nice.
