Verify that there is no fixing screw above the soft-closer.
If you want a soft opening OR a soft closing, you need 1 soft-closer. If you want a soft opening AND a soft closing, you need 2 soft-closers.
No, you do not need a longer track.
Yes. For 1 soft-closer, the minimum door width is 26”. For 2 soft-closers, the minimum door width is 35”.
The soft-closer must be mounted at the same time than the sliding system.

Does not work intuitively with the pocket door. The end of this mechanism does not site where the normal stopper would sit so you would need to build your rail and cavity 2-3” deeper. I wish I knew that before hand and returned it.

This is not normal because our soft-closer is compatible with SLID'UP 1000, 1100 and 2200 tracks and should not require any adjustments.
